A woman threatened to kill everyone on a Southwest Airlines flight after she was caught smoking in the plane’s bathroom.
The woman, identified as 24-year-old Valerie Curbello, was travelling on Southwest Flight 2943 between Portland and Sacramento when she reportedly tried to smoke in the bathroom and tamper with the smoke detector to avoid getting caught.
As luck would have it, she was caught and later told a CBS affiliate reporter that she wanted to smoke to try to suppress her anxiety.
The woman was removed from the bathroom by attendants after they found her smoking. An eye-witness said she even ripped an oxygen mask out of the ceiling as crew members tried to bring her back to her seat.
Curbelo soon lost her cool and started shouting, “I have a destination for myself, and I need to go there.” She yelled and added, “I swear if you don’t … land, I will f—ing kill everybody on this f—ing plane!”
According to KOIN 6 News, the passengers then restrained Curbello and the flight crew escorted her off the plane. She was arrested upon landing. Curbello is currently being held in a Sacramento jail on $75,000 bail.
