When it comes to ‘Boss of the Year 2018’, Snapchat founder and CEO Evan Spiegel already has one hand on the trophy — for throwing a massive million-dollar New Year’s party for Snapchat’s employees last night.
Evan Spiegel – dude knows how to throw a party
For the bash yesterday, Snapchat employees from all over the world were flying into Los Angeles for the big bash, according to a TMZ report.
Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snapchat parent company Snap Inc., has reportedly spent over $4 million on the company’s New Year’s Eve party spread across several venues in Los Angeles. Spiegel reportedly rented out Microsoft Theater, a plush bowling alley, and Michelin star Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant.
Not just great food and casual games, Evan Spiegel seemingly pulled out all the stops for last night’s Snapchat New Year’s Eve party by also roping in an exclusive performance by rap star Drake.

So is all of this going as company expense? Not a chance. The one-of-a-kind New Year’s Eve party’s $4 million bill is being footed by the 27-year-old billionaire, Evan Spiegel, himself. His personal wealth is valued at $3.5 billion, so no big deal. He can definitely afford it.
Snapchat’s competition with Instagram (and Facebook‘s Mark Zuckerberg) may not be going all that well. But with months of planning and organizing a whole host of permits to host as many as 5,000 guests for one memorable night of partying, we have to say Snapchat founder and CEO Evan Spiegel does know how to throw one heck of a party!
