No one would ever want to toy around with a tiger, but what if you find it on your farm? Something like that happened in Peterhead, Scotland, when the police sprang into action after spotting a tiger.
A local farmer Bruce Grubb called the North East Police to inform about the presence of a large fearsome cat with stripes on his farm. According to a BBC report, Grubb told the police, “I got the fright of my life.”
Police did not take any time and immediately reached the farm. In addition, the cops also contacted a nearby wildlife park to check if a tiger might have escaped.
According to the New York Post report, all this continued for almost 45- minutes before officers realised that the ‘fearsome tiger’ was just a stuffed toy.
Yes, you read it right. It was just a soft toy.
“Our ultimate aim is to protect the public and keep our officers safe when faced with uncertain situations. Until you know exactly what you are dealing with, every option has to be considered,” Inspector George Cordinor said.
“We appreciate that it was a false call made with genuine good intent.”
