Rohit Sharma (118) and KL Rahul (89) put on 165 for the first wicket to power the Men in Blue to 260/5 vs Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I in Indore.
They were supported by MS Dhoni’s 21-ball 28 as the hosts posted the joint second highest score in the format. They share it with Sri Lanka who achieved the feat in the 2007 World T20 vs Kenya. It’s of course India’s highest score.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma equaled the world record for the fastest T20I hundred when he reached the milestone in 35 balls. Incidentally, Rahul took the same number of deliveries to reach 50.
