Virat Kohli’s exploits with the bat have earned him a lot of respect among teammates and opponents.
Pakistan’s coach Mickey Arthur is quick to admit that he is a great player, but at the same time maintains that if he comes to that country, run scoring won’t be that easy.
Well all that may be wishful thinking, but hang on, we are not even playing there anytime soon.
The last time India played a Test series in Pakistan was in 2006. Since the 26/11 attacks, cricketing relations have been very strained and we have hardly visited each other to play.
So one would guess Arthur was speaking hypothetically. But is it not a little far fetched? He’s basing it on if India play in Pakistan then Kohli will struggle. That’s a little too much speculation.
Incidentally, nobody in the current Indian side has played a Test in Pakistan. When that day does come, we hope Kohli slams a hundred which will be a slap in the face of those who question his ability.
