Vijender Singh did just what India wanted. He overcame Ernest Amuzu to successfully defend both titles.
He beat the Ghanian to make it 10 out of 10 in his professional career, something to be proud of. Vijender has not lost a single fight since turning pro in 2015.
Vijender was in control right from the start and dominated most of the rounds. After a good start, Amuzu lost his rhythm and it was Vijender all the way. The judges declared Vijender a winner unanimously.
The 32-year old currently holds both the WBO Asia Pacific and WBO Oriental Super Middleweight titles, which is an achievement in itself.
Nice way for our ace boxer to end 2017 – with a win.
