Despite Starring In Race 3 With Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez Will Not Be Seen In Kick 2

Jacqueline Fernandez might have had her Bollywood breakthrough Aladin in 2009 opposite Riteish Deshmukh but she tasted commercial success in 2014 with Kick as she played the leading actress opposite Salman Khan.

This was also the first time when her real voice was retained in the film. And since then there has been no looking back for the lady. She has been giving blockbuster performances with Housefull 2 and Judwaa 3.

Jacqueline is now gearing up to feature with Salman Khan once again for Race-3. The movie that has forever seen Saif Ali Khan in a pivotal role will see a brand new cast being directed by Remo D’souza.

Salman Khan is also keen on starting the sequel of Kick 2. Looking at the camarderie, the two share, Jacqueline should have been an obvious choice for the role, however that’s not the case.

A source close to the project confirmed to, “Jacqueline Fernandez will not be a part of Kick 2, however this is not because of any issue between anyone, but because the story is completely different. Jacqueline’s track ended in Kick. In fact, Kick 2 has a completely new plot and character, hence Sajid Nadiadwala and his team decided to cast a new leading lady. They’ve shortlisted a few names and should make an announcement soon.”

There are also reports, Deepika Padukone is being considered opposite Sallu. While you may not see your favourite pair (Salman-Jacq) in Kick 2, there will hopefully plenty of them in Race 3.
